Hampshire County Council is looking for around 30 households and small businesses to trial a range of the new alternative technologies already on the market that can boost existing broadband speeds. These may be a solution for some of the hard to reach, rural areas of Hampshire with poor broadband speeds of less than 2Mbps (Megabits per second).

The Welsh Assembly have created a broadband support scheme whereby individuals, businesses and 3rd sector organisations in rural areas can benefit from free broadband installation.
If you don't already have broadband in your area, or consistently experience speeds of less than 512kbps, then you are classed as being in a "notspot" and therefore may well qualify for the scheme.
You can check broadband availability in your area here: www.samknows.com
The ideal solution to take advantage of this subsidy is to sign up for the Bentley Walker Tooway service.
With Bentley Walker Tooway, you can enjoy broadband speeds even if you are in a remote location. All users have equal access to service wherever they are within the satellite coverage. Learn more about our Tooway service on our tooway microsite.
The amount offered (up to £1,000 per applicant or 100% of the total eligible cost) will cover the hardware and setup cost, leaving only the monthly subscription cost for you to pay.
