Star Pro is a scalable, high performance satellite IP terminal that delivers broadband access with a high-speed return channel.

Global Service Providers, ISP's, and corporations require efficient, broadband IP networking solutions to satisfy bandwidth-intensive applications such as internet access, digital media streaming, video-conferencing, distance education, file transfer, multi casting, and virtual private networks. Star Pro is the ideal, low cost solution for these and many other IP-based services.

Star Pro has been developed under a unique combination of skills in data networking, digital communications, satellite access, and network management, to provide a low cost, scalable next generation satellite networking product.
Star Pro receives a broadband DVB outbound channel to 60 Kbps and provides a broadband satellite return channel with speeds up to 1.150 Kbps The F-TDMA broadband return channel provides efficient broadband on demand and has DVB-RCS compliant turbo coding for enhanced throughput performance.

Star Pro supports IP routing, IP mulitcasting, IP Quality of Service, and TCP spoofing for 10 Mbps of unicast throughput. Star Pro's Web-based NMS is simple to operate, easy to configure, provides traffic statistics and call details detail records, and offers an SNMP interface.

Equipment

Each site is equipped with a VSAT terminal consisting of an antenna, outdoor electronics mounted on the antenna for signal reception/transmission, and indoor unit, similar to a digital TV receiver box, for connection to customer terminal/Server.

Abuse Policy

Without prejudice to the foregoing, Bentley Walker consider that any application that overloads the StarPro™ Network by whatever means will be considered as making profligate use of the StarPro™ Network and is as such NOT allowed. The user may not circumvent user authentication or security of any host, network, or account (referred to as "cracking" or "hacking"), nor interfere with service to any user, host, or network (referred to as "denial of service attacks") provided by, or on behalf of Bentley Walker. Bentley Walker reserves the right to throttle user's speeds in accordance with the star pro grade of service document to ensure fair allocation of bandwidth across the network. Data is unlimited but is not unlimited at full grade of service speeds. If a site reaches the throttle threshold the site speed will be reduced.
